About Zenyum

What is the free online diagnosis?

The Free Online Diagnosis, as the name implies, is a free diagnosis that can be performed online via your computer or smartphone.

After entering your basic information, we will ask you to provide us with photos of your actual teeth and your dental problems so that we can determine if you are a good candidate for mouthpiece orthodontics and, if so, what the approximate plan (price) and treatment period would be. We will also be happy to answer any other questions you may have on line or by phone, so please do not hesitate to contact us.

Can my teeth be treated with Zenyum?

At Zenyum, we offer ZenyumClear which is reasonably priced for mild cases, toZenyumClear Plus+, which can be used for complex cases. Therefore, we are able to handle a wide range of cases.

Nevertheless, some cases may require orthodontic appliances such as wire braces instead of clear aligners, so we are happy to check the alignment of your teeth through our free assessment, which you can easily complete online. If you are considering mouthpiece orthodontics, we encourage you to first perform the free assessment.

What is a treatment plan?

A treatment plan is a 3D simulation created by Zenyum and its affiliated dental clinics based on data obtained from a thorough examination of the client. Using Zenyum's unique technology, we explain to you how the treatment will proceed using this 3D simulation before you sign the contract. This allows you to clearly visualize how your teeth will move and what the final result will look like even before you sign the contract.

How is it different from wire braces and other orthodontic services?

The main advantages of mouthpiece orthodontics are said to be "reasonable price", "inconspicuous", "less frequent visits", "less pain", and "short treatment period".

Zenyum can produce highly accurate treatment plans and mouthpieces based on the results obtained from more than 250,000 applicants, and our standard Zenyum Clear Plan (partial orthodontics) can move up to 20 upper and lower teeth (compared to other services which most only move up to 12 teeth). This allows us to improve the alignment of not only the prominent teeth, but also the teeth behind them.

How long does treatments generally take?

The average time for the most standard Zenyum Clear is about 6 months, and for Zenyum Clear Plus, which is designed for moderate and complex cases, it is approximately 10-15 months.

How many clinic visits will be required?

The number of visits will depend on the client's case and treatment plan, but generally speaking, the patient will need to visit the clinic 2-4 times, or approximately once every 3 months, excluding the consultation visit that is performed prior to signing the contract.

This is considerably less frequent than the once-a-month visits required for wired braces, but at the same time, you can rest assured that your progress will be monitored at the dental clinic every three months.

Can I use Zenyum for orthodontic treatment if I have implants?

Basically, it is possible. However, depending on the condition and location of the implants, correction may be difficult, so please proceed with Free assessmentfirst and inform your Zenyum representative about the status of your implants.

Can I still use Zenyum to correct my wisdom teeth?

Basically, it is possible. However, depending on the direction and condition of the wisdom teeth, extraction may or may not be necessary to achieve the ideal treatment plan.

We will inform you of the necessity of tooth extraction through a thorough examination and treatment planning.

I am not sure if I can continue.

Mouthpiece orthodontics requires a minimum of 20 hours of wear per day to be successful. Mouthpiece orthodontics has the advantage of being removable, so it can be taken off while eating or engaging in strenuous exercise, but it must also be managed by the client.

The Zenyum app allows you to keep a record of your wear and take regular photos of your progress, so we can send you regular reminders to wear your braces and you can feel the effects of your treatment, making it easier for you to continue your treatment.

What should I do if I have problems during orthodontic treatment?

YOU CAN CONTACT US ANYTIME VIA E-MAIL OR LINE AS WELL AS THE CHAT FUNCTION OF ZENYUM'S DEDICATED APPLICATION. DEPENDING ON THE NATURE OF YOUR QUESTION OR PROBLEM, WE WORK CLOSELY WITH OUR AFFILIATED CLINICS TO ENSURE THAT WE ARE ABLE TO PROVIDE YOU WITH THE BEST SUPPORT.

Can I use Zenyum for orthodontics if I have missing teeth?

Basically, it is possible. However, depending on the location of the missing teeth and the overall alignment of the teeth, orthodontic treatment may be difficult.

ZenyumPlease try Free assessmentfirst to determine if you can be treated with mouthpiece orthodontics through Free assessment, which can be easily done online.

Can I only straighten my upper or lower teeth?

Zenyum Orthodontics does not simply fix the appearance of the teeth, but also prepares a treatment plan to achieve an ideal alignment of the teeth, including the occlusion and other aspects of the teeth. Therefore, we believe that both upper and lower teeth need to be corrected at the same time, and we do not provide treatment for only one side of the teeth.

Can a mouth sag (protruding mouth) be corrected?

If the mouth sores are caused by the alignment of the teeth, improvement may be expected. However, the degree of improvement that can be expected depends on the alignment of your teeth.

For more details, you can consult with our affiliated clinics during a thorough examination, or you can discuss your treatment plan with a Xenium representative when we provide you with a treatment plan.

Is tooth extraction necessary for orthodontics?

Mild to moderate cases rarely require tooth extraction, but in complicated cases, extraction may be recommended.

We will determine this through a thorough examination online at Free assessmentor at one of our affiliated clinics and will be happy to discuss this with you.

Is the deduction for medical expenses applicable?

As a general rule, this does not apply to orthodontic treatment for aesthetic reasons (i.e., to improve appearance), but it may apply to orthodontic treatment to resolve functional problems due to a bad bite or other reasons. We would be happy to discuss this with you first through Free assessment.

Fees and Payment

What plans are available? And what are their costs?

Zenyum offers an easy-to-understand fixed fee plan, with fees depending on the client's case as follows

Zenyum Clear(mild cases) 324,500 yen (tax included)
Zenyum Clear Plus (moderate cases) 575,000 yen (tax included)
Zenyum Clear Plus+ (complex cases) 660,000 yen (tax included)

Why is Zenyum mouthpiece orthodontics more affordable than other orthodontic methods?

Unlike wire orthodontics, which requires regular visits to the orthodontist for treatment, mouthpiece orthodontics is a treatment method in which, in principle, the customer changes the mouthpiece to proceed with the treatment. This is one of the reasons why the price is lower than other orthodontic treatment methods.

In addition, Zenyum is a large company with a track record of more than 250,000 applications, mainly in Asian countries, which allows us to keep the costs of technological development and mouthpiece production lower than those of other companies, which in turn allows us to keep prices low.

What payment methods are available?

ZenyumWe accept lump-sum payment by bank transfer or credit card, as well as installment payment by credit card or shopping loan.

We are also flexible to accommodate customers' requests, for example, half of the payment can be made in a lump sum and the rest in installments, so please feel free to contact us for more information.

When do I pay the fee?

For the detailed examination necessary to create a treatment plan, payment is made directly on the spot at the affiliated clinic at the time of the detailed examination.

If you agree to the treatment plan and sign the contract, we ask you to pay for the mouthpiece in advance. After confirming the payment, we will make a mouthpiece for you.

What is your refund policy?

As a general rule, we do not offer refunds once a contract has been signed and payment has been made. In the unlikely event that treatment does not proceed as planned and additional treatment is required, Zenyum will cover the entire cost of the mouthpiece. (If an additional full examination is required, the cost of the examination will be borne by the customer. Please note that the cost of the mouthpiece will also be covered on the condition that the patient wears the mouthpiece as planned and uploads it regularly).

What should I do if I lose my mouthpiece?

If you have lost your mouthpiece, please contact us first via the Zenyum dedicated app or other means. We will guide you on how to handle the situation according to your treatment status.

About Mouthpiece Orthodontics

Are mouthpiece braces safe?

Mouthpiece orthodontics is known as a very safe orthodontic method. Mouthpiece orthodontics is becoming mainstream worldwide.

Our customer support team works closely with our partner dental clinics to ensure that you are comfortable using Zenyum's orthodontic treatment.

What are the disadvantages of mouthpiece orthodontics?

The ability to remove the device at any time is considered an advantage as well as the greatest disadvantage. Successful treatment requires wearing the device for at least 20 hours a day, so self-monitoring is necessary.

ZenyumWe provide support for self-management and motivation by using a dedicated application to manage the wearing time and keep a record of the progress of treatment in the form of photographs.

Do I need maintenance after the orthodontic period is over?

After the orthodontic treatment period is completed, a retainer is required to maintain the alignment of the teeth. We recommend that you wear your retainer for at least the same length of time as your treatment period, or twice as long if possible. (For example, if the treatment period is six months, the retainer should be worn for six months to a year.

In addition, it is recommended that you wear the retainer only while sleeping to minimize the risk of regrowth.

Can mouthpiece orthodontics really fix my teeth?

ZenyumWe have a highly predictable and feasible treatment plan based on the vast amount of data and results obtained from over 250,000 applications.

However, depending on the tooth alignment, there may be cases where perfect tooth alignment cannot be achieved, or if the wearing time is too short, the tooth alignment may not change according to the treatment plan.

If you wear the mouthpiece according to the treatment plan, but the treatment plan is not achieved and additional treatment is needed, Zenyum will pay for the entire cost of the mouthpiece. (If an additional full examination is required, the cost of the examination will be borne by the client. Please note that the cost of the mouthpiece is also subject to the condition that you have worn the mouthpiece as per the treatment plan and have uploaded it regularly).

How long should I wear the mouthpiece per day?

The mouthpiece should be worn for at least 20 hours per day. The longer you wear it, the more likely you are to follow your treatment plan, so please keep removal time to a minimum.

Can I eat with the mouthpiece in place?

Eating with the mouthpiece in place may lead to damage or deformation of the mouthpiece, so it must be removed. We also recommend that you brush your teeth as much as possible after eating before wearing the mouthpiece in order to reduce the risk of tooth decay.

Can I drink water or other liquids while wearing the mouthpiece?

Water can be drunk with the mouthpiece in place without any problem. However, hot beverages may deform the mouthpiece, so please be sure to remove the mouthpiece before drinking. Tea and coffee can cause staining, and sugary drinks can cause tooth decay, so we recommend that you remove the mouthpiece before drinking, and brush your teeth and rinse your mouth before wearing it.

How do you create space to move the teeth?

If there is not enough space to move the teeth, a procedure called Inter-Proximal Reduction (IPR) is performed. (IPR (also known as disking)

IPR involves thinning the tooth enamel with a special file-like instrument to create the necessary space. IPR is performed only after a thorough examination and only when it is confirmed to be necessary and safe.

Are there any key factors in the success of mouthpiece orthodontics?

There are several important points:

① Wear the mouthpiece for at least 20 hours every day
② Follow the treatment plan (number of days to wear the mouthpiece and when to switch the mouthpiece)
③ Submit photos via the app when switching mouthpieces
④ Follow other advice from the dental clinic Our customer support team and the dedicated application fully support the success of your treatment.

Will people around me notice that I have mouthpiece braces?

The mouthpiece is made of a transparent material, so it is hardly noticeable from the outside. Many of our clients have told us that they hardly notice the mouthpiece during online meetings or even when talking face to face.

However, you will get used to it in a week or two.

What should I do with my used mouthpiece?

Please wash the used mouthpiece and keep it for about one month. This is because the mouthpiece may be used again if the mouthpiece is lost or if the treatment does not proceed as planned.

What should I do with the removed mouthpiece?

Please wash the removed mouthpiece and store it in the special case provided at the start of treatment.

Please be careful not to wrap it in tissue, as it may be accidentally disposed of.

Will my teeth ever come back to normal after the mouthpiece orthodontic treatment is completed?

After treatment is completed, a retainer must be worn to maintain the alignment of the teeth. We recommend that you wear your retainer for at least the same length of time as your treatment, or twice as long if possible. (For example, if the treatment period is six months, the retainer should be worn for six months to a year.

In addition, it is recommended that you wear the retainer only while sleeping to minimize the risk of regrowth.

How long will I have to wear the retainer?

We recommend that you wear your retainer for at least the same length of time as your treatment period, or twice as long if possible. (For example, if the treatment period is three months, the retainer should be worn for three to six months).

In addition, it is recommended to wear the retainer only while sleeping to minimize the risk of regression.

About Precision Inspection

What is a consultation visit?

The consultation refers to the process of visiting a Zenyum partner clinic to obtain data on your teeth and check their health through 3D scans and X-rays.

Based on the information obtained from the precision examination, we will create an optimal treatment plan tailored to your dental condition. The completed treatment plan can be reviewed prior to signing the contract, so you can sign the contract only after you are fully satisfied with the treatment plan, and in case you are not satisfied with the plan for some reason, we can re-create the plan or you can decide not to sign the contract. (There is no additional cost to you if you decide not to sign the contract.)

Where will the consultation take place?

The consultation is conducted at each of Zenyum's partner clinics. After you have completed your free online assessment, if you are interested in proceeding, the Zenyum representative will introduce you to your nearest partner clinic.

What is the cost of a full examination?

A thorough examination usually costs between 11,000 yen and 22,000 yen (tax included, depending on the clinic).

While some similar services offer free or low-cost scans, Zenyum, we believe that a thorough examination is essential to creating the best treatment plan for our clients, so although the cost is a little higher, we will conduct a thorough examination and create a treatment plan to compensate for the higher cost. However, the cost is a little higher than the cost of a full examination. Some of our services are very simple scans and treatment plans are only very simple simulations (full-scale treatment plans are available for a fee).

How long does it take for a full inspection?

A complete examination takes approximately one hour. During the complete examination, we not only obtain data on your teeth from various angles, but also check the health of your teeth and discuss any orthodontic concerns you may have.

Do I have to sign up for a full inspection?

No, that is not necessary. Zenyum's policy is to provide clients with a thorough explanation of the treatment plan, and only after they are fully convinced of the plan should they sign a contract. Therefore, if you are not satisfied with the treatment plan, or if you wish to abandon the contract for any other reason, you are free to withdraw from the contract at no cost to you.

How do I make an appointment for a full examination?

Start with a free online assessment. After the assessment, a Zenyum representative will contact you to share details about your assessment. If you are interested in proceeding, we will introduce you to the nearest partner clinic for a consultation visit.

What should I do if I need to reschedule an appointment for a full examination?

If you need to reschedule an appointment, please contact your Zenyum representative via LINE or email.

I have a tooth under treatment, can I have a full examination?

It is possible. However, depending on the nature of your treatment, you may have to rescan again at a later date. If you are undergoing treatment, please be sure to inform your Zenyum representative of the status of your treatment.

In addition, our customer support team will be there for you in case you have any problems or questions that need to be answered by the dental clinic.
